Lots of stuff in that video conflicts with what those who have actually tested this stuff have found.

Today's pistons are offset 0.5mm toward the thrust side to reduce friction and minimize piston rocking noise.

Here's the Mahle white paper that goes over all of this in great detail. Piston offset is on page 154.

And in his comments after the video, he supposes piston offset is in the 15mm range. No way in hell.

Single cylinder MX bikes range from 0-12mm offset.

Didn't watch the vid, some of his past stuff I'm kinda like well what about this or that n.....

Sometimes people get too caught up in math and not actual use or real world examples. Sometimes real world use has unforeseen factors. Sometimes rules don't apply or even reverse in different situations. In the end what actually works, well it works and that is all that matters Driving 4 Answers tackles cylinder offset (8)

He does at one point mention there isn't much in it and it's mostly now done on low height (short rod) engines with high operating speeds.

15mm cylinder offset to clearly show the effect.
