Jessica Lynn McGrew Obituary - 2022 (2024)

Jessica Lynn McGrew,

went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2022, at WVU J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Jessi, (as she liked to be called) along with her twin sister, came into this world 35 years ago on July 7, 1986, in Conroe, Texas. She moved to Bruceton Mills twenty one years ago. Jessi loved everything family and never forgot a birthday. Holidays were always special to her, and her laughter and joy were always present.
She loved her nieces and nephews with all her heart. Their sporting, dancing and cheer events were all time favorites of hers. She was an avid fan of Cosmic Cheer and Gymnastics, Southern Garrett Rams and Oakland Youth Sports for the last several years.
Jessi looked forward to her yearly trips to Myrtle Beach and to see her family out of state. She loved Paul Walker movies, Britney Spears’ music, Days of our Lives on TV, as well as Anime Sailor Moon. If you've ever played bingo in Monongalia, Preston or Garrett counties, you probably would have run into Jessi and her mother and heard her happily yell “Bingo!” on more than one occasion. She also loved attending fund raisers, gun bashes, Hope for Hunter, WVU Children's Hospital Bash and the Bruceton School Calendar parties.
Also surviving are her mother, Barbara McGrew, of Bruceton Mills, WV; her twin sister, Julia, and her husband, Greg Spitznogle, of Oakland, MD; as well as nieces and nephews: Natalie, Jacob, Dylan, Diva (Natalee), Alyssa, and Alyvia, all of Oakland, MD.
Jessi was preceded in death by her brother, John David McGrew; nephew, Axel John Spitznogle; grandparents, Warren Ray McGrew Jr and Dorothy Lee Whitehair McGrew; and her Uncle Warren Ray McGrew, III.
She leaves behind to mourn and miss her, her Grandma Kathy McGrew of Spring, TX.; uncles: Nathan (Christine) McGrew of Fruithurst, AL, and Neil (Angelyn) McGrew of Billings, MT; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she loved very much; and her loving companions, Belle and Chloe.

We rejoice in the promises heaven holds.
No wheelchairs, no hearing aids and a perfect body.

Our God is able!

A private family grave side service was held at Fairview Cemetery, Pisgah, WV. With Pastor Brandon Hutzel officiating. Services being provided by the Carl R Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville – Bruceton Mills WV.
The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, that contributions, to assist with Jessi’s final expenses be sent to her mother or directly to Carl R. Spear Funeral Home.
