Boruto: Naruto Naruto Next Generations recently marked the conclusion of its first part. The story is now heading into its timeskip and this timeskip is set to be 4 years long. Following the conclusion of the timeskip, the beloved characters of the fans will all return much stronger than ever before, with great maturity as well as a heightened level of strength and skill in battle.

The story will also start heating up as stronger protagonists also mean stronger antagonists. One of the protagonists who recently revealed a power-up is none other than Sasuke's daughter, Sarada Uchiha and she awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan Awakening
Sarada Uchiha has not played much of a role in Boruto so far. Even though she's one of the main characters and the daughter of Sasuke Uchiha, Sarada has often been sidelined for Boruto and Kawaki. However, the last few chapters have seen her character receive some form of attention, which was a very welcomed change in the approach of the story. Shortly after Boruto lost his eye protecting Sarada, Kawaki tried to escape from the village and during this time, Ada used the powers of Omnipotence to switch places for Boruto and Kawaki. When this switch happened, it was also made known that Naruto Uzumaki was killed by Boruto.
Fans already know how much Naruto means to Sarada and, in Sasuke's absence, Naruto was like a father to her. At the same time, Naruto is her idol and a role model who she envisions herself to be like in the future. When she heard of Naruto's demise, fans could see that she was shaken. At the same time, Sarada was also unaffected by Omnipotence, meaning she knew that Boruto Uzumaki was actually innocent of the crime. Sarada was then told that Boruto was going to be killed very soon, and that is precisely what triggered the awakening of her Mangekyo Sharingan.
The Powers Of Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan
Very little has been revealed about Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan. For now, the only thing that the fans know about it is that it has a unique sun-shaped pattern. Interestingly, Kishimoto, the author of Naruto, already teased this Mangekyo Sharingan pattern years before it finally debuted in the manga. This means that he has planned her abilities for quite some time now and they will finally make their appearance in the story very soon. While nothing has been confirmed to the fans so far, a few assumptions can easily be made based on the pattern of the Mangekyo Sharingan and the connection she shares with her father.

Going back to when Sasuke awakened this eye, his powers were somewhat similar to that of his brother. Perhaps, this was due to the blood that they shared with each other. Itachi was the first user of the Amaterasu seen in the story, and Sasuke ended up inheriting this power as well. This could be due to the shared blood between the two brothers. Similarly, Sarada is Sasuke's very own daughter and, as such, she could possess the powers of the Amaterasu as well. The fact that her eyes resemble a sun further backs up this claim as the flames of Amaterasu are said to be undying hot flames that burn hotter than the sun itself.
How Strong Is Sarada With The Mangekyo Sharingan?
Now that Sarada has attained the powers of the Mangekyo Sharingan, she's much stronger than she was before. However, she needs to gain perfect control over this eye. Thankfully for her, Boruto is entering a 4-year timeskip and that is enough time for her to gain complete mastery over her new eye. Sarada Uchiha will return from the timeskip much stronger than before. For one, she will be able to read movements in combat much easier. The Mangekyo Sharingan is extremely overpowered when it comes to that.
At the same time, her movements in combat itself will be more fluid and precise – a change that Sasuke also under rent after attaining this eye. The biggest power up that Sarada will gain after the awakening of this eye is the Mangekyo abilities. Established before already, one of them could be Amaterasu, however, the other one is up for debate. Perhaps, Sarada will have a technique even stronger than Amaterasu that pertains to flames. Regardless, Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan will also grant her access to the Susanoo, and that much is certainly not up for debate. Her Susanoo could have the most overpowered abilities and all the users of this Jutsu are known to have been exceptionally powerful. While Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan is not Eternal yet, she is definitely closing in on the gap with her father after the timeskip.
